A brief rundown.
When I was a freshman in high school I started recording on a hand-me-down 8 track cassette recorder. I bought a soundcard for my computer when the fast-forward and rewind buttons on the Tascam tape deck quit working. While at Texas A&M I befriended worship leader and songwriter Ross King. He wanted to start a studio, so I helped him build one in his garage. I'm almost positive it was the smallest studio in the history of recording, but we made some great music in that little closet. After college I spent a couple of years traveling and playing bass with Billy Foote. On my off days I interned with David Parker at Soundtown Digital Recording Studios.
In 2004 I set out on my own, splitting time producing projects in my tiny little apartment and at Joel Cameron's studio, The Playroom. Together Joel and I worked on projects for artists and bands including Addison Road, Jonny Diaz, and Shelly Moore.
Since 2007 I've been working out of my own facility, Paper Walls Studio. Check out my discography page for more info about the artists and bands I've worked with in the past decade. I have a bunch of fancy gear, and I own or have access to all of the bells and whistles I need to get the job done.
I've worked (and still work) with some of the best musicians on the planet. Here's a brief list. Billy and Cindy Foote, Milo Deering, Ross King, Kendall Combes, Chris LaCorte, Adrian Disch, Jacob Schrodt, J.P. Talley, Scott Lee, Wes Martin, Steve Miller, Jourdan and Jeff Johnson, Sara Donaldson, Hai Phung, Joe Moralez, Roger Boykin, and a bunch of other talented folks.
